For the first Monday of the new year, I want to share joyfulness, since I believe we benefit from sharing the things that we want for ourselves (hugs, smiles, words of affirmation, gifts, quality time, a helping hand, etc.). One reason I love Mondays is that I get to walk with a friend after work, my top two love languages being quality time and acts of service, so visiting with me for an hour and helping me get the exercise I need really fills my heart with joy. I have a job that I enjoy, too, which makes it easier to at least accept Mondays. Finally, Monday evenings are usually free, so if I didn't get everything done that I needed to on Sunday, I can finish up things like putting away all the clean laundry and dishes that are hopefully dry by now from being washed yesterday. Have you found a reason to love Mondays yet? If not, I challenge you to find one, not just for the first Monday of the year, but something consistent that you can look forward to every week. If you love life, you can love Mondays because it's another day of life! God bless you friends.
